What range do you shoot Muzzle Loaders?

We shoot muzzle loaders at the West Riverside range the second Sunday of each month as long as we have shooters who want to shoot, and why wouldn’t they. With the new muzzle loader hunting seasons being implemented in recent years there has been a big resurgence of enthusiasts.

What equipment is used?

We shoot traditional type rifles with open sight and exposed hammers. Round balls or conical bullets are acceptable. We even shoot muzzle loader pistols a couple months of the year. t’s all about good clean fun and practice.

Targets

We shoot a variety of targets from regular paper targets, novelty targets and metal targets so you never get bored.

What to bring and wear at a shooting match.

Some people dress in period clothing and some just their normal street clothes. Don’t feel intimidated to come by and join the fun. We’re a cordial group of shooters that love to shoot traditional firearms and have fun doing it. Stop by and check us out and don’t forget to bring your Smokepole!
